POIAB (Pots In A Box)

Plain Old telephone service is the basic analog telecommunications serve that is provided by the local telco. POTS was the only type of service until the mid 1970's. Twisted copper pair is what is known as the local node. The CO has switches that connect you to another local subscriber. Pots in a box uses a cellular connection that converts the digital to analog replacing POTS and PTSN lines.
